NEW YORK -- The success of John Mayer's third studio album, “Continnuum,” has prompted the announcement of a full summer tour, which will make stops at arenas and amphitheatres throughout the United States beginning June 1 in Ridgefield, Wash., and continuing through Aug. 8 in West Palm Beach, Fla.

Mayer, who appears on the cover of the Feb. 22 issue of Rolling Stone magazine as one of "The New Guitar Gods" of contemporary music, recently won this year's Best Pop Vocal Album Grammy for “Continnuum” as well as the Best Male Pop Vocal Performance Grammy for his single, "Waiting on the World to Change," at the 49th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony, where he performed his current single, "Gravity."

His winter tour comes to a close with a show at Madison Square Garden Feb. 28.
