On Wednesday, March 19, 2008 CW47 was recognized by Mayor Robert D. Coble and the Columbia City Council as the Business Spotlight Program Honoree for March 2008.
As Stated in this proclamation, WZRB is "well known for their hit TV shows, and community involvement as well as their advertising of local businesses here in
Columbia ." The proclamation continues to mention WZRB's diversity in hiring practices and also in working with various organizations in support of different causes in our community, such as: IMARA Woman Magazine, The Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce, Hispanic Connections, Inc., The Columbia Classical Ballet, the Auntie Karen Foundation, Project Unity, the United Way of the Midlands, the March of Dimes, the Ad Council and many other non-profit organizations as well as participating in various job and career fairs in the community.
WZRB is grateful that the City of Columbia sees CW47 as "an asset to the business community and
Columbia residence because of its service to the community through outstanding community contributions, offering career opportunities and entertainment."
